Colwell Bay and its neighbouring Totland Bay have golden beaches from which all the family can enjoy safe bathing and the view over the western approaches to the Solent. Looking out from Colwell, you can see the remains of Hurst Castle. Within a few minutes drive are the unspoiled beaches at Compton Bay and Hanover point where you can walk in the footprints of dinosaurs. Local amenities include the shops at Totland and Freshwater and we recommend the Waterfront bar and restaurant where you can see the best sunset ever! Yarmouth with its pretty harbour, great pubs and cosy eateries is only 2 miles away.
